best car insurance rates Atlantic City – Passenger Van Rental – A Recession Tip

November 28th, 2009 | by admin |

A friend of mine recently went on there vacation to Myrtle Beach South Carolina, I wanted to find out how their party traveled. I gave him a call and he said they rented a passenger van. He initially had  8 people in his party. Well, they decided to invite two couples in the area and they needed something a little bigger. Considering this was a 2 week vacation they had a lot of luggage. So in all, there were 12 people plus luggage. Hmm…what kind of vehicle can fit 12 people and luggage with ease? You guessed it!

A 15 passenger van

Remember we wanted mobility, affordability, and convenience. The van was the way to go. We drove down from CT, stopped in NY for 2 days went site seeing, shopping and more, left from NY stopped in Atlantic City in NJ, spent 2 days there, left from NJ stopped in Washington DC and from Washington we drove to Myrtle Beach.

Each destination offered something different. NY is a melting pot with lots to do, Atlantic City offered us the chance to let loose too and Washington as you might guess is a historic visit.

Nevertheless we were all eager to get down to Myrtle beach. We enjoyed miles of wide soft sandy beaches,  restaurants with family-friendly dining, live entertainment,  water sports, some of the best  golf courses in the south, outlet malls, specialty boutiques, freshwater and deep sea saltwater fishing, you name it, we did it!

We had a blast and we accomplished our goal of saving money on our vacation by renting the van. It offered mobility, affordability, and convenience!

Wow, everyone is looking forward to next years vacation!

Reasons To Compare Auto Insurance Plans

Comparing insurance plans is the number one way of save money on insurance. How can you be sure you’re getting the best deal out there if you don’t take a look around?

Lots of people prefer to simply stay with the same insurance company they’ve always had, but such people don’t realize they have could save hundreds of dollars each year. All they have to do is compare quotes from different companies and go with the least expensive option. You should shop around a few times a year just to see if you are getting the best deal out there.

Here are some other reasons to compare insurance plans:

You relocated or moved into a new place. You have so much to do and so little time in which to do it. You are spending money, updating information, packing, and hiring movers. However, in this period of your life where you’re spending a ton of money, you can improve your financial picture by comparing auto insurance rates.

You may be paying too much for your auto insurance, but there’s only one way to find out for sure. Having a new address makes this a great time to look around for a better deal because rates change when you move and your policy needs to be updated anyway. Rates change because rates are different in different locations. For instance, when you live in a rural community, auto insurance rates are usually lower than if you live in a big city. This is because people tend to get in more accidents when they live in the city. After all, more people mean more cars on the road. An increase in traffic equals an increase in accidents.

What if your current auto insurance company isn’t a licensed insurance provider in your new state? What if their rates are higher? Some states have higher insurance rates because more of their residents file insurance claims. New Jersey, Washington D.C., New York and Massachusetts are just a few of the states that have high rates for this reason.

Settling claims can be more expensive in certain areas as well and is yet another reason why claims go up. Cars that are more expensive to fix or replace as well as higher income urban areas will often have higher insurance rates. Regardless of whether you’re moving across the country or across town, moving is a great time to compare insurance rates and find the lowest one for you and your family.

You purchased a new car. You
1000
have a lot to think about when looking for a new automobile. For example, you choose what make and model you want, how much you can pay each month, which features you’d like. But one thing you might not think of is to compare insurance rates before you buy that car.
Check rates online for the automobiles you are considering and save that information for when you decide to purchase. This will help you drive the car off the lot sooner because most dealerships need proof of insurance before you leave.

No two cars are insured for the same amount of money. Cars are less to insure if they are safe, perform well in crash tests, aren’t theft targets, and have certain safety or anti-theft features. Of course insurance rates will be higher if the car is flashier or has a history of being stolen all the time.
You just got married. This is an exciting time and insurance probably isn’t the first thing on your mind. Nevertheless, if you’re spending a ton of money on wedding and/or honeymoon plans, it could be great to save money on auto insurance plans.
If you have two cars on the same policy, you could probably save money on your rates. One of the first things you should do after saying “I do” is to compare auto insurance rates and see who can offer you and your new spouse a great deal.

You are retired or changing jobs. This is a great time to re-examine your insurance and start shopping around for a better plan and a senior’s discount.

If you aren’t satisfied with the amount of money you are paying each month, think about whether you can take advantage of certain discounts. If your teenage driver is a student with good grades, or your car isn’t driven that often, or perhaps you have changed occupations to something like an engineer, scientist, mathematician, teacher, or military member. Discounts differ depending on the company, so always shop around and compare to find the lowest rates for your own situation.

If you’ve been talking to friends and find out you’re paying more than you should for auto insurance, shop around and compare rates. The Internet allows you to shop around, compare rates, and all from the convenience of your own home or office.
